All Pro, SL and X-Trem tents feature DAC Featherlite NSL poles. The poles have expanded ends that give up to 20% increased strength in the ends in relation to the middle of the pole joints. This makes it possible to use thinner pipe walls and reduce the total pole weight, without compromising strength. The poles are manufactured with a special coating that minimizes the use of chemicals and is more environmentally friendly than traditional treatments. A pole on a Helsport tent is a calculation of the length of the arch, the diameter of the pole and the height of the tent. On this basis, in addition to where in the tent the pole is positioned, the diameter, degree of distortion and length of each joint are determined.
