Caroline Côté

Caroline Côté is a Canadian athlete, adventurer, and documentary filmmaker. Through her expeditions, she documents climate change and shares inspiring stories regarding the impact of climate on indigenous communities, among others. Her passion and specialty is to film nature, preferably in remote places or under extreme conditions, and she is always on the lookout for new projects.

“I like to change the perception of what femininity can be, by exposing myself to unique and sometimes dangerous situations. When I challenge the elements, I do so as the confident woman I am, with femininity forged in iron and ice.”

In 2021, she crossed Svalbard in 63 days with her husband and fellow polar explorer Vincent Colliard. She has also canoed 2000 km up the Yukon River, crossed the Atlantic Ocean in a sailboat, and led several expeditions. She is also the fastest woman to reach the South Pole without supplies, a feat that took her 34 days, 2 hours, and 53 minutes. Reaching the South Pole was not only about setting records; it was also about breaking down prejudices and being a role model for young women.
