FIT ANDCONSTRUCTION

A well-fitting sleeping bag maintains its insulation properties and provides the comfort you need on your adventure.

  • Title Fit & construction

Fit is crucial for warmth and preventing heat loss. The goal is to minimize wasted space inside the sleeping bag. If the bag is too large, you'll expend unnecessary energy to heat it up. On the other hand, a bag that's too small will be uncomfortable and inefficient. A well-fitting sleeping bag maintains its insulation properties and provides the comfort you need on your adventure.

Our sleeping bags come in three different sizes. You can choose between 175cm, 185cm, 200cm. All of our new sleeping bags are unisex and made with comfort, fit, weight, and warmth in mind.

The mummy bag is the most favored design, featuring a close-fitting shape that narrows towards the feet, making it the warmest choice. This style minimizes the amount of air between you and the bag's insulation, reducing the air that needs to be heated. Its compact shape also ensures it is lightweight and easy to pack, perfect for backpacking or technical trips where both packability and warmth are crucial. We understand that some campers might feel uneasy if a sleeping bag is too tight. To address this, we've adopted the sleeping bag model we tailored specifically for women as our standard. This ensures that everyone benefits from a superior sleeping bag, offering more space and greater comfort, all while maintaining optimal warmth.

Let's examine the construction details that differentiate the new sleeping bags.

New features

Tailored hood and hood opening

We have spent some time optimizing the side of the hood and the hood opening. The hood of a sleeping bag should not be too big to keep your head warm and minimal heat loss. When it gets colder and you need to close the hood opening you do not want a lot of drawcord inside your sleeping bag. So our new hood shape is tailored to give you maximal insulation and minimal loose drawcord around your hood and neck.

Inside closing of the hood opening

How often do you struggle to adjust the opening around your face? Typically, you have to open the neck baffle and then fumble to find the cord, which always seems to be in the wrong place. With Helsport's innovative design, you don't have to worry about this anymore! Our solution places the hood adjustment cord inside the bag and below the neck baffle, making it easy to find and operate without any hassle.

3D Sleeping Bags

Helsport's sleeping bags are not only mummy-shaped but also feature a 3D construction with side walls, giving the bags a true three-dimensional shape that fits the human form perfectly.

Higher Zipper Position

The zippers on Helsport bags are positioned higher up the side compared to conventional sleeping bags. This reduces heat loss and makes the zipper more accessible for opening and closing.

Exterior and Interior Design

The outer layer of a Helsport bag is larger than the inner layer, ensuring that the insulation is not compressed when you move inside the bag, thus maintaining optimal warmth.

Enhanced Strength

Reinforced fibers in the base and sidewalls of Helsport bags provide increased durability and longevity, ensuring that your sleeping bag will withstand the test of time.
