For the first time Helsport introduces lightweight tents with a polyester flysheet. Polyester is well suited for 3-season tents because it offers a good balance of durability, weather resistance and quick drying properties. Unlike nylon, polyester absorbs very little moisture (no added weight when wet), it stretches less, helps the tent maintain its shape and tension in changing weather conditions, and dries out much quicker than nylon due to the hydrophobic properties of polyester fabrics. Polyester also provides good UV resistance, making it suitable for regular use during the brighter spring and summer months. Polyester fabrics can provide the strength and weather protection needed for 3-season camping. Construction with all 3 poles crossing at the top makes it more stabile and with better headroom inside. The tent’s construction and poles provide steeper walls and a more spacious feel for increased comfort. New hooks to connect the inner tent with the fly is easy to operate and makes is super easy to unhook if you need more space in the vestibules without removing the inner tent completely. We have added more mesh in the inner tent to give you more ventilation and a cooler tent during the hot summer nights. Curved patterning on the flysheet at the short sides provides full- time ventilation and the inner tent floor is higher so we do not compromise rain protection. All guy line adjusters are moved up from the ground so it is even easier to adjust the guy lines. We have added a band all along the bottom of the fly sheet to make it more rigid and less stretchy. A new lightweight 20D polyester fabric ensures that you do not need to readjust the tent as the polyester fabric will not stretch as much as nylon fabrics.
